La huella del cuerpo (2026)

The trace of the body

La huella del cuerpo (2026) is a series of small-scale paintings that complement La piel que respira (2026). Made with pigments on handmade paper, the works possess a tactile quality that evokes the idea of returning to the body.

The paintings reflect on what remains of the body, the erotic, and our attention towards the other in today's pornographic and digitalized culture, proposing a recovery of Eros.

Most of the works reinterpret images from art history, depicting figures in transition, somewhere between emerging and disappearing, partially veiled. They evoke a sense of unpredictability and mystery that resists any consumerist desire.
